How did we meet? Let’s just say that Marks Doc Brown Halloween costume in 2015 swept me off of my feet and we have been inseparable ever since. Ironically, we have always known of one another from back in high school but it took that white wig to finally catch my attention. Who would have ever thought that one day I would be marrying the really cute senior basketball player that I cheered for from the sidelines as a sophomore?! It didn’t take long to realize that what we have is something you hold on to and never let go. My favorite story Mark swears by is that he saw me out at a bar before we met with some of my girlfriends and as he was leaving, Mark said to his friend, Dustin, “that’s my girl in there.”
After eight short months together, we dove head first and signed a lease together in The Historic Stockade District in Schenectady. From enjoying a glass of wine down by the river, to dancing down sidewalks to oldie songs after returning home from a night out, the Stockade will always hold a special place in our hearts. Fast forward to over three years of one way streets, we purchased our first home together in 2019. Less than one year later on March 6th, 2020, Mark made me the happiest girl alive when he got down on one knee and asked if I would spend the rest of our lives together. Without hesitation I said yes to the love of my life. I never believed in soulmates before, but I truly feel that serendipity led me to mine. We are so excited to continue on this beautiful journey together and cannot wait to see where life takes us. June 11th, 2021 here we come!
